Klaxon klaxon, new thing alert! Probably inspired by Vanity Fair’s long-running Proust Questionnaire, many newsletters I subscribe to have Q-and-A editions wherein they profile an interesting or notable acquaintance. It’s a brilliant way to outsource the writing of a weekly newsletter to someone else while making that person think it’s a compliment. Which it is, but also, what a life hack! Obviously, I need one of my own.

Introducing…Other Voices, Other Geniuses. Yes, a pretentious and not particularly witty title for this Lizzie Logan is a Genius spin-off, but the only other thing I could come up with was The Liz Quiz, and like, kill me.

No but really, our first Other Genius, who kindly answered almost all of the invasive and unserious questions I sent him, is Demi Adejuyigbe, known online as @ electrolemon. Thank you, Demi!!

You’ve probably seen his series of “September” videos, listened to his podcast “The Gilmore Guys,” or watched something he wrote on television, like The Good Place, The Amber Ruffin Show or The Late Late Show with James Corden. Other thing he made that I’m obsessed with: the Succession “Kiss From Daddy” intro.

He also hosts live comedy shows, and a hell of a karaoke party, and I’m so excited that he agreed to be my first OTHER GENIUS. So lemme turn it over to…

What song are you especially into currently?

In the last months I have gotten obsessed with "Sinner" by The Last Dinner Party to an unhealthy amount. Some days I'll just loop it 10 times.

What is the trait within yourself about which you feel the most ambivalent?

I don't react physically to a lot of movies which makes me a boring audience member. Sometimes I wish I was more reactive, sometimes I am happy I don't.

How do you like to waste time?

I loooove doing crossword puzzles and playing my silly little NYT games.

What news topic that will always get you to click?

My Google News algorithm has learned that I will always click on an article about David Byrne or St. Vincent and you know what, I will!

Whom do you consider to be the most overrated dead musician?

Never been into Jim Morrison.

If you could press a button and get ten million dollars but one person would die and it wouldn’t be linked to you in any way, who would you want to die?

Easiest answer seems like Trump, but I think that would only stoke his base further and make them think some grand conspiracy is afoot. So I'll say Vladimir Putin.

What is your favorite outfit worn by any character in The Devil Wears Prada?

The one that immediately comes to mind is the red fur coat Meryl Streep wears.

What do you consider the secret to your success?

I have ideas that make me think "wouldn't it be funny if someone put a lot of effort into doing this" and then I do it! Also, my puzzle brain.

When have you been or felt the most FAMOUS in your life?

Probably sometime while I was touring with my podcast “Gilmore Guys.” 1200 people coming to see you do a podcast will make you feel famous as hell.

What is the coolest object in your apartment/house/domicile?

I love my analog camera collection! It's neatly arranged in my mezzanine and I am so into film and love looking at it.

Who or what is your most problematic fave?

Probably Nicki Minaj. As a person, she's absolutely dreadful and I am terrified of the Barbz. But when a song of hers comes on shuffle? I'm freakin it.

What is the name of your most active group chat and what do you typically message about?

I have a group chat called Bello that started when some friends and I watched Minions together and we truly just talk about movies or make plans to watch movies. I love it.

What is your favorite sex act or position?

Beggars can't be choosers but I love any position where you get to really feel each other up and I'll leave it at that!

What do you think Taylor Swift is doing AT THIS VERY SECOND?

Probably having dinner with her publicist or something.

How did you meet your best friend?

Embarrassed to say I don't remember! I have met most of my closest friends through Twitter or Letterboxd though.

Who or what gives you the ick?

Shittalking. Obviously it's fun sometimes, but when I realize that somebody is such a hater that they are always shittalking or being judgmental of people more than they're being vulnerable and expressing the things they really love, I start to pull away from them. Feels unsafe.
